KATE CARNEY BOND


Role:
Board Member

Background: Kate serves as the Canon for Congregational Vitality in the Episcopal Diocese of Oklahoma.  In her role, Kate supports congregations across Oklahoma by providing resources and guidance for strategic planning, leadership development, and spiritual formation. Her desire is to see every congregation live into its fullness of ministry, meeting God in prayer and in their neighborhoods daily. Kate serves on the board of Forward Movement and is active in her home church, Grace Church in Yukon, Oklahoma. She is currently completing her Doctor of Education in Ministry at Virginia Theological Seminary in Ministry Development.

J. Elise Brown +


Role:
Board Member

Background: Elise is Manager of IT and Program Operations at Marble Collegiate Church in New York City, and an ordained pastor in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA). Her passions and skills include helping congregations and organizations create ministry plans that work and then working the plans to produce abundance and fruitfulness. Elise holds a Master of Divinity degree from Union Theological Seminary in New York City, and a Ph.D. in Sociology from University of New York.

Pete Reuss +


Role:
Board Member

Background: Pete is a Partner at GSB Fundraising, where he focuses on congregational annual and capital appeals, middle judicatory (synodical) planning and funding, strategic planning, and leadership development. He is an ordained pastor in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA). He has a passion for God’s work in the world, trusting the Spirit to guide the church and ministry organizations to live into God’s future. His ministry experience includes ten years in synodical leadership in his twenty-five years of ordained ministry.

Role:
Board Member

Background: Claire is recently retired after 35 years of ordained ministry in the Episcopal Church, most recently as Canon for Congregational Support in the Episcopal Diocese of Long Island, overseeing leadership transition for churches and clergy, and facilitating clergy and congregational development. In partnership with FaithX, she developed the “Beloved Journey” diocesan resource, incorporating data-grounded tools to build awareness of structural racism in the churches, counties, and towns of the Diocese of Long Island.
