I’ve been thinking so much this past week about what it means to have the right people in your life. While my husband and I talked about moving for, probably, a good decade – and we came close about a year ago, this summer we knew it was time to pull the trigger and get serious. Once we committed to the dream, it took all the right people to make it happen. Having the right people means that they work on your behalf to make sure things go smoothly and it all turns out right in the end. Our dream started with the realtor in Minnesota who found us our dream house! Then there was a great realtor who sold our Naperville home quickly so that we could take the next step. Our mortgage process was the fastest and easiest I have ever experienced. And then the moving teams in both locations took what could be super stressful and kept us on an even keel with smiles, good humor, kindness, and efficiency. So many friends and neighbors saw us off and wished us well. And as soon as we arrived, neighbors came to greet us and make us feel welcome. Grateful hardly describes what I feel as I think about how each person made this move possible and incredibly joyful.

I am also blessed to work with the right people. Ken Howard invited Steve Matthews and me to join FaithX back in 2018, and we clicked. Not right away, of course, but gradually, over time, trust grew deeper, and we found we could work together in ways that let each of us lead with our strengths and share our gifts. I know that not everyone can say that they work with the right people. I am aware each day that this is a gift in my life.

This is usually the spot in the blog where I talk about one of our amazing products, but today I am going to keep the focus on the right people. You see, you need the right people in your life and in your ministry. People who work on your behalf to make sure you have all the data/information you need to make good decisions, take risks, and plan for a future that is vital, vibrant, and growing. FaithX has the right people to walk with you on your ministry journey. We are not afraid to say hard things, to speak the truth in love, and to challenge congregations and their leaders to try new and hard things. Whether it is assessing the vitality of your congregation, learning more about your neighborhood, or consulting to help you develop short and long term plans, FaithX can be the kind of ministry partner that makes you grateful for all the right people in your life. As always, you can find out more at info@faithx.net.
