Introducing The Judicatory Vitality Assessment (JVA)

But wait there's moreBy Mary C. Frances, Senior Associate Consultant

Last week we shared exciting news with you about the groundbreaking micro-survey Episcopal Pulse coming back to an inbox near you.  This week we have more big news!  Even bigger news!

As we hope you know by now, FaithX has many tools to help congregations not only survive but thrive in challenging times. We do this through consulting, our many partnerships and also through the use of powerful tools such as MapDash for Faith Communities, the Neighborhood Intelligence Report and the Congregational Vitality Assessment (CVA).  The CVA is a free, research based online diagnostic tool that helps congregations hold up a mirror to see how they are doing in key areas related to vitality, sustainability, stewardship and leadership.  Now…(drum roll please)….we are pleased to announce that FaithX, in partnership with the Episcopal Church Foundation and Trinity Wall Street, has created a first ever Judicatory Vitality Assessment (JVA).

The JVA provides a way for judicatories to assess their own health and wellness, not just the health of their congregations.  This tool uses a format similar to the CVA in that it has multiple categories relevant to judicatory health and asks participants to rate those areas in a multi-question, online format.  Each section is scored, and a report is generated that offers suggestions for improvement in each area.

The JVA 1.0 will be available in early January 2024 for early adopters.  We will use input from users and beta testers to make any necessary changes so that you can expect JVA 2.0 to arrive late in the second quarter 2024.  Pricing will be based on the number of congregations in the judicatory ranging from $3,000 to $5,000.  Discounts may be available for subscription users so be sure to ask.

As a side note, we are often asked about the word judicatory.  In our work with various denominations, we have found that each one has its own word to describe the regional structure for congregation oversight and support (diocese, synod, presbytery, etc.).  So that we don’t leave anyone out, we are using the generic term judicatory. That said, we know there is nothing generic about any judicatory.  We’d like to help you name and celebrate your strengths as well as identify your areas of weakness so that you can create a plan to address them.  Interested in being first in line?  Reach out to us at info@faithx.net for more details.
