Goals For A New Year

By Adam Green

Every New Year, people around the world set out to create goals for themselves. These goals range from trying to shed a few pounds, drinking more water, worrying less, or making a commitment to read through the Bible. All these are great personal goals to strive for and achieve. However, when it comes to the Church, the goal is the same year after year as it has been for over two millennia.

“All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations,
baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,
and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.
And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” Matthew 28:18-20 (NIV)

Overall, the Church’s goal is to reach more and more people with the gospel of Jesus Christ. To shepherd and care for those in their church families and to go and reach others in their community with the love of Christ. Even though a Church’s goal has been the same, its methodology in accomplishing that goal is different across cultures and over time.

Many churches and faith-based organizations, should know their own people well, but gaining a good grasp on their community might be a more difficult challenge.

Here at FaithX, we understand this issue and have created a tool called MapDash for Faith Communities. This innovative tool allows leaders of faith communities and judicatories to rapidly, comprehensively, and deeply discern the stories of the community they serve in.

We utilize Neighborhood Missional Intelligence Reports (NMIR), an infographic report designed to give users an interactive snapshot of their neighborhoods with 80+ demographic and psychographic data points.

In addition, FaithX can utilize these reports and provide congregations with a 4-hour session giving them a more in-depth understanding of the data and how they can engage and serve their communities for the glory of God and the good of His people.
